ABOUT YOUR SESSION:
The Engagement Session is a great time for me to get to know you, and for you to get to know me. I have so many couples that I start with that tell me that they don't know how to pose, or don't know what to do. Actually, it's most of them. :) And by the end of their engagement session, they are SO much more comfortable and have become really, really good at being in front of the camera!
As your Wedding Photographer, I want to walk into your wedding day as, not only your photographer, but a friend. I want you and your fiance to be comfortable with me and enjoy your day! That's one of the many reasons I highly encourage an Engagement Session.
THE PLACE / TIME:
The Engagement sessions usually lasts anywhere from one-one and a half hours. I typically recommend two locations and two outfits. Outfits that fit your personality, that make you feel comfortable, are what I recommend. As far as location, family land or private land is always a plus, because it's unique to you. I have lots of places I can recommend if you need help!
WHAT IF I DON'T WANT THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION? CAN I SWAP IT FOR SOMETHING?
If you do not want the Engagement Session, that is ok! You can swap it for a Bridal Session, or you can swap it for an extra hour on your wedding day!
Weddings are a huge cornerstone in a couple's life. It's a life changing event in history that will forever impact the generations to follow. Photographing a wedding is special because we are able to capture the story of the couple and give them something to look back upon, as well as an heirloom to pass along to their loved ones.

Once your wedding images are processed, you will receive an email with instructions on how to view them. Processing of wedding day images takes approximately 4 weeks.
Yes. All of your images are edited and touched up. Additional touch up requests may be made for $50 per image. Print images ordered over size 8x10 include fine detail touch ups that include, but are not limited to, stray hairs, blemishes, under-eye shadows, etc.
You get the print rights to your images up to size 8x10 and you may print them whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of JMP Weddings, as JMP Weddings has ownership (copyright) of the images taken.
JMP does not guarantee a specific amount of images to be delivered, however, we typically deliver between 60-80 images per hour of coverage. Keep in mind these numbers may increase or decrease depending on the flow of the day and the number of events/activities needing to be captured.
JMP does not charge a travel fee for any wedding that takes place with in 90 miles of JMP Weddings Studio. Weddings beyond that point are charged a $0.55 per mile for every mile over 90 miles.
All dates are reserved once we receive your signed contract and retainer fee.
Having two photographers at a wedding allows us to be two places at once. While one photographer is getting pictures of the bride getting ready with her bridesmaids, the second photographer can get pictures of the guys getting ready with his groomsmen. Having a second photographer allows for a second perspective of your wedding day. It allows us to truly capture your day as it unfolds from different viewpoints and give you the best combination of both.
There's no doubt that choosing an associate photographer can cause you to be a little nervous. Many times people think of an associate photographer as someone who is less experienced, and someone who doesn't have the ability to be the primary photographer at a wedding. At JMP Weddings, this is the furtherest thing from the truth. Associate photographers have chosen not to pursue their own business, sometimes for personal reasons and sometimes because they just don't enjoy the business side of things. They want to be a part of a team, and simply want to take care of their people (you!) and capture amazing moments. Having experienced Photographers on the JMP Weddings team helps us better serve the inquiries that come through, and creates more availability for families and couples. It also allows us to work with multiple budgets, as we understand that many brides have a certain budget they are working with.
Additionally, you're hiring a team. You get more than just one person watching out for you. Communication is consistent with JMP's Studio Manager as well as lots of personal attention from your photographer. When you hire JMP Weddings, you are getting YEARS of experience along with fun personalities, and professionalism, and of course, beautiful imagery.
No. We take every measure to ensure consistent style and quality among our photographers. We have developed the unique style you see in our work over time. Each image is reviewed to ensure our quality and style are consistent. We trust that the quality and style of photography you receive will be consistent.
Yes! JMP does headshots, individual portraits, family portraits, maternity portraits, and senior portraits. JMP does not do Newborn portraits but can recommend you to a fantastic Newborn photographer.
We do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from our shoots because we believe in delivering a finished product. In fact, we’re often shooting with the end (post-produced) product in mind. Delivering a final product is part of the art in our photography business.
Yes. All of our wedding packages come with digital negatives of the wedding day. Lifestyle images are sold separately from the session itself. Please email us for more info!
